Supriya Joshi (also known as Supriya Raj) is an influential homeschooling parent from India and a TED speaker and an open educationist. Supriya Joshi and her husband Raj Joshi facilitated homeschooling for 2 daughters who got accepted in prestigious colleges / universities in America sans formal exam credentials.

Homeschooled Malvika Joshi gets accepted in MIT sans formal board exam credentials

Supriya Joshi and family attracted enhanced media attention when homeschooled daughter Malvika Joshi who had not even appeared for 10th / 12th board exams in India got accepted in prestigious MIT university in Boston, USA, sans her formal board exam certifications / credentials and instead based primarily on her knowledge and skills, including expert medal winning coding skills which were acquired outside traditional schools.

Supriya's Offerings

Supriya has been associated with facilitating many projects related to open education / learning and homeschooling. Supriya has been providing these offerings through 'Open Learners Collective' and 'Chashak by Supriya' - and educational research center. Supriya has been facilitating parenting and homeschooling related workshops.

Supriya has been offering a residential program 'Shodh' for teenagers, which aims to assist in self-exploration.

Having lived in Mumbai, India for years, Supriya now has built a home cum resource center 'Mazira' in remote place near Diveagar in Konkan, and now have been living there in remote Konkan too.
